(Dalhouse University)

Are you passionate about using science and engineering to make a difference in Environmental Fluid Mechanics? I am continually seeking self-motivated undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD students to join my research team, with start dates in September, January, or May.

**Ideal Candidates:**

Prospective graduate students should have (or will have) an undergraduate degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, geoscience/earth science, or a related discipline with a history of academic excellence. Preferred candidates will have:
- **Background**: Coursework, research, or professional experience in hydraulics or oceanography.
- **Skills**: Experience with programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB), laboratory techniques (e.g., PIV, LIF), or fieldwork (e.g., CTD, ADCP, remote sensing).

**Current Openings:**

I am currently looking for two graduate students (PhD and Master’s) to work on projects involving:
- **Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal**: Seeding mineral particles in the ocean.
- **Machine Learning for Mixing Parameterization**.

**How to Apply:**

To apply or discuss graduate programs, email me at jiankang.yang@dal.ca or jiankang.yang@yale.edu with your CV and a brief statement about your research interests.

**Scholarships:**

Applicants should note the deadlines for graduate scholarship applications:
- **NSERC Master’s Applicants**: Due in December.
- **NSERC PhD Applicants**: Due in October.
